RCD 2017 Annual Fundraising Gala – Red & White Night

Expecting a Canada 150 Party? You are only partly right. The RCD Red & White Night Fundraising Gala is a lot more - good food, vibrant atmosphere, heartwarming live  entertainments, and of course, Red and White everywhere!

Door opens at 6：30 p.m. Dinner at 7:30 p.m.
Entertainment & Dance till 11 p.m.

  EMMANUEL CHILDREN’S CHORUS
  Brief Introduction
  Emmanuel Children’s Chorus (ECC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 by Richmond Emmanuel Church. Our aims are to explore children’s potential in singing and to nourish them with Christian values. Our unique method of music training is fun and effective. Currently we have three choirs and a handbell choir from ages 5 to 16. We rehearse every Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30. Over the years, the chorus participated in numerous important events including Richmond City Hall Christmas Caroling, Senior Home visits, Fundraising concerts for World Vision, Richmond Rotary Club and BC Children’s Hospital, Kiwanis Choral Festival and Portland Kodaly Choral Festival.
  
  
  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Medley)
  This Andrew Lloyd Webber show has made a spectacular return to American stages with new musical arrangements, dazzling stage effects, and a top-selling soundtrack CD. Michael Sweeney's outstanding medley includes: Any Dream Will Do, Benjamin Calypso, Close Every Door, Go, Go, Go Joseph, Jacob and Sons, One More Angel In Heaven and Song Of The King. The story is based on the Biblical story of Joseph, found in the Book of Genesis. Joseph is the favourite son of Jacob. As such, he encounters the jealousy of his brothers who object to his dreams in which he is the hero and the brothers have to pay homage to him. They arrange to have him killed but instead, Joseph was sold in slavery and became the most powerful man in Egypt, second only to the Pharaoh. The story ends happily as Joseph forgave his brothers and reunited with his father for a happy conclusion. Joseph dons his coloured coat once more.
