Christmas Outing to VanDusen Botanical Garden - Dec 16, 2010

The Festival of Lights was a beautiful Christmas experience to share, hold and remember!

On Dec. 16th the RCD had its Christmas outing, our small group gathered at the Centre and left around 4:30 pm. We took the Canada Line Skytrain to Marine Drive Station. From there we bussed to the VanDusen Botanical Garden at Oak and 37th Avenue.
We walked through the garden and were amazed by the amount of lights there were and all the beautiful colours. We looked for a spot around the lake to get a good view on the Dancing Light Show. The show was absolutely breathtaking! Afterwards we moved on to the Gingerbread Wood, visited Santa Claus and walked by all the lights some more.
Even though the weather got pretty cold, it was a great outing and everybody enjoyed it. And we finished the night with Hot Apple ''Cider and Hot Chocolate!
