RCD involved with Workforce Inclusion Initiative
The resources for career development project has been involved with the Workforce Inclusion Initiative for the past couple of months. In October 2011, our members were invited to join the WorldHost training session. Four of our members who were interested in the tourism industry participated in this training session. Our members learned a great deal from this training and are now more prepared to engage in this field.
The WorldHost training is a one-day workshop that teaches front-line employees the skills and techniques of service professionalism. Participants received a Certificate of Completion from Tourism British Columbia, which is recognized and valued by industry employers.
“It was a very informative session and very worthwhile.” – Irene LaRochelle, rcd Member
