The game of chess has a fine historical, recreational and intellectual tradition which is appreciated by people of all abilities. The RCD is excited to offer this brand new Chess Club to stimulate the potential of people with disabilities and enhance confidence and self esteem through the learning of chess skills. Chess Master Mr. Harold Hee Sied is a renowned expert and has tremendous experience in teaching students of diverse abilities. The club, suitable for both expert and novice players, is held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m., from May 22 to August 14, 2008. No registration required, available to all RCD members who are interested in any types of Chess (International/Chinese /Go Chess); there is a drop-in fee for $2. DRC Knitting Club
Are you interested in knitting? Join our new knitting club and learn basic and advanced skills for making dolls and teddy bears. The club meets every Monday from 10am to 12 noon at the Centre. New sessions will start soon and we will keep you posted. Janet, our volunteer teacher has lots of new ideas for individual and group projects. More information...
