programs, products, supports and issues. Referring individuals to
appropriate community agencies upon request and referring to other
internal programming at the Independent Living Resource Centres.

Providing consumers the skills and tools necessary to act and speak on their
own behalf in all aspects of their daily lives.
Peer Support and Social Interaction

Providing a forum for consumers to exchange ideas, experiences and concerns
in a comfortable atmosphere to create solutions that will overcome
barriers in their personal lives.
Research and Development
- Identifying service gaps
- Exploring new options
- Facilitating program development
- Demonstrating the knowledge of people with disabilities
Responding to unmet needs of people with disabilities, ensuring appropriate access
to all mainstream community based programs and services by developing
programs and services to meet these needs.
