What a fun Italian Night … 2009 RCD Fundraiser – Italian Gala!

What a fun Italian Night! Over 200 guests have enjoyed the Richmond Centre for Disability (RCD) 2009 Annual Fundraiser – Italian Gala on October 3, at the Executive Airport Plaza Hotel. We are proud to say that the event is getting rave reviews and guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The Italian buffet was beyond imagination; the La Mappa Di Italia game was a perfect ice-breaker and the Pasta-matic game was a big surprise how tightly the pasta could pack; the Soccer Shootout was exciting and fulfilling everyone’s dream of being a big soccer star!

Everyone was still talking what a good act His Worship Mayor Malcolm Brodie had put up for the Live Auction, and we raised a total of $2,625 for the 3 items. The Theme Raffle Baskets were also a big hit, and we thank your generous support from the bottom of our hearts.

On behalf of the RCD Board of Directors, staff, members and volunteers, we want to extend a heart-felt thank you for everyone who supported our event. It was our vision to host a successful fundraising event and heighten the awareness of service provision to people with disabilities.

The support of guests, sponsors and prize donors helped make our vision a reality, especially in this turbulent time of economy where demand for services has increased in the face of declining resources.  As a grass root organization, we believe that our job is most important and needed in the worse times. Thanks again and your support is truly appreciated.
