Tom Parker

Tom Parker ( Vice-chair )

Tom is a partial quadriplegic as the result of a spinal cord injury in 1961. He retired in 2003 after many years working in disability related fields in several parts of Canada, and now enjoys living in Richmond and being involved with the Richmond Centre for Disability.

Alvin Ip ( Interim Treasurer )

Alvin is a 4th year UBC Human Kinetics student and is employed as a research assistant at G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre. He is passionate about improving the health and well-being of people with disabilities and has developed the FUNdamental Skills Exercise Program for RCD.

BrandyBrandy Cook ( Director )

Brandy’s experience with fundraising and disability issues began in 1999 when she was part of an educational video for the John Ryan Regeneration Tour across Canada. She was then became active with the Rick Hansen Foundation’s Ambassador Program and was sought after for her accessibility knowledge and public speaking talents.

Elaine holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Business Education. As a Program Supervisor and Consultant, Elaine’s passion is for aassisting families with children with autism.

Jenny was a Head Nurse and Nursing Instructor in Hong Kong for over 20 years. She has been Secretary of the RCD Chinese Support Group Committee for the past eight years and volunteers in RCD’s Life Skills Training.
